Visit the link in my bio! 🚨 - Swipe left! - Are you a "non-responder" when it comes to back training? - If you're like me, you may have some trouble with engaging your lats. - This is a tip I learned way back when I was still very fresh in the gym. - This will make your lat training much more effective... - Here's what you can do to engage your lats: - 1. Warm up with an isolation exercise - Doing this will help establish a mind to body connection. - Try doing pull overs either with a dumbbell or on a machine as seen in the video. - Aim to do 2-3 sets and engage your lats with each set. - 2. Pull up (Or row) - Dip into the stretched position of a pull up and hang there. - Next, don't pull up, just pull your shoulder blades and engage them by pulling them but don't let your arms flex. - This should be the position where you start any pulling exercise. - When you engage your lats in this position, you'll activate them much more effectively. - 3. Pre Exhaust - If you still can't feel anything in your lats after compound exercises, try pre exhausting them by performing a isolation exercise followed by a compound exercise like pull ups or rows. - Did this help you?
