Going over the characters' names in Another Note is really crazy like-

First up, it's L, the hero of Death Note, alright.

Second, Naomi Misora, the woman who was ruthlessly killed by Kira. We know her a bit, yeah.

Thirdly, Beyond Birthday. Sounds interesting for a killer, lesgooo!

Raye Penber, that guy from FBI. Naomi Misora's fiancee. Okay whatever.

Now, the victims:

Believe Bridesmaid. What- WHO THE FUCK HAVIN BRIDESMAID AS THEIR FAMILY NAME-

Next, Quarter Queen. What even does that 'Quarter' signify? I wanna have a serious conversation with her mother for that.

Finally, Backyard Bottomslash. I like this name because it's cool asf, but still not something I'd name my kids. Imagine telling people, "You can call me Backyard.” Or maybe, "The name's Slash. Backyard Bottomslash.” As I said, cool asf but still crazy asf

People always making fun of the stupid names in Another Note, like Backyard Bottomslash and Bluesharp Babysplit, while an actual Swedish couple tried to name their child Brfxxccxxmnpcccclllmmnprxvclmnckssqlbb11116. It’s pronounced “Albin” btw.

Random Backyard Bottomslash headcanons

Her parents were weird hippies, and they thought it was a good idea to name the kid after the place where she was made. But they didn’t have enough money to go to Paris…

Kids at school made fun of her all the time. For this reason, she moved far away from her hometown as soon as possible.

She hated her name and wanted to change it but delayed this several times.

She always introduced herself as Becky. People usually assumed her name is Rebecca, and she didn’t correct them.

Very few people knew that her name is actually Backyard. Only the administrative staff and her boss at work knew her real name, and they agreed not to tell the other staff members.

She was stopped once for speeding. After reading her name, the police officers took her to the police department because they thought the documents were forged.

I laughed out aloud over the tags you inserted under Near mangacap where he's viewing names on screen xD (about buying a book of baby names xD) But seriously though, i myself have a bone to pick with the writers as well. Like did they not love their creations or what?!

I KNOW it’s both hilarious and saddening at the same time. I can’t express to you how much time it took me to understand that “beyond birthday” was his real canonical name and not some fandom bullshit

To be completely frank I think they just grabbed the closest diccionary they could find and just went wild with random words
