Sunset peach picking 🍑🏹🌾
Guess it's time for another garden update.
Please ignore the weeds. They're rough this year.
All of the tomatoes are fruiting and I'm about ready to pick one for fried green tomatoes!
The peppers are doing better than last year, but still not as well as I hoped. I'm hoping in the next few years to get them more sun during the day, but that requires a tree cutting service.
My little pear buddy is now pretty easy to spot with how fat and happy he's getting. I think he's enjoying having almost an entire tree to himself (thanks late frosts).
The apples are growing and my biggest problem is keeping squirrels away now. I have my eye on this gorgeous one in the second pick. Fresh eating or cheesecake...
And in sad news, my blueberries have almost been picked completely clean by birds. My guess is robins, next year we're getting bird nets.
My bean plants are sad looking so I don't have high hopes for them (damn squirrels again). Maybe with a cage they'll actually grow.
That's it for now! I'll probably post when I make my fried green tomatoes. It's the first time making them on my own (it just never happened), but I'm super excited.

Going to have to narrow this down to four, by wintertime...
Backyard babies soaking up the rain 🍎💞
I never knew the feeling of picking produce from your backyard would be so fulfilling 🍒🤎

I picked some many rainier cherries from my soon to be backyard. Thinking that it would cost me around $6 to buy a plastic container for half of what I picked is now mind boggling to me. My adventure to grow as much as I can with my family and the community is my goal now ☺️🤎🍒
