Indulge in the perfect blend of sweet, savory, and tangy flavors with this Caramelized Apple, Bacon, and Blue Cheese Pan Pizza inspired by Girl Versus Dough. The caramelized apples paired with crispy bacon and tangy blue cheese create a delightful harmony of tastes atop a golden crust.
Ingredients: 1 package store-bought pizza dough. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 2 apples, thinly sliced. 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled. 1 cup blue cheese, crumbled. 1/4 cup brown sugar. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Preheat oven to 425F 220C. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced apples and cook until caramelized, about 5-7 minutes. Sprinkle with brown sugar and continue cooking until sugar is melted and apples are tender. Set aside. Roll out pizza dough to fit a greased 12-inch cast iron skillet or pizza pan. Transfer rolled dough to the skillet or pan. Layer caramelized apples evenly over the dough. Sprinkle cooked bacon and crumbled blue cheese over the apples. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until crust is golden brown and toppings are bubbly. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before slicing. Serve hot and enjoy!
