Recognizing your parents bad traits in yourself is a whole new level of fucked up
Hufflepuff negative traits.
So you get all the good traits of a Hufflepuff like hardworking, patient, loyal etc, but you never hear about anything bad about them besides that they are pushovers, which aren’t necessarily true, well at least not to all of them.
I believe that actually one of their best and worst traits is their loyalty, because even though it is great to have a loyal friend, imagine all the confrontations it could cause. For example:
Imagine if someone hated one of the Hufflepuffs friends but had a good reason to. The Hufflepuff would automatically stick up for their friends, which is understandable, but what happens if their friend was also the one being mean to the other Hufflepuff who hated them. Would the friend who was sticking up for them be in the right or wrong? And in the end would that friend resort to the bullying to? Because remember in The Goblet of Fire all the Hufflepuffs who were sticking up for Cedric were taunting Harry without a seconds hesitation.
Another thing, say a Hufflepuff went to the dark-side. (Not all death eaters are Slytherins don’t forget.) Wouldn’t that convince some more Hufflepuffs, slightly unwillingly, to join their friends out of loyalty? Would they get guilt tripped in joining? (not necessarily intentionally, but just out of loyalty to their friends.)
Also if two Hufflepuff friends had an argument and refused to make up, what would their friend in the middle do? They would feel obligation to have loyalty for both sides, but couldn’t go to both. He would have to not pick sides at all. But wouldn’t the other two Hufflepuffs demand some sort of loyalty etc?
And can you imagine all the detentions one could get for covering for their friends faults?
There are many good things about their loyalty, but it could also sprout a lot of bad confrontations, and also affect the well-being of some Hufflepuffs.
I mean this is just what I think so whether or not their loyalty lies so deep to join the dark-side out of loyalty of their friends is unknown.
And also the patient and hardworking part of being a Hufflepuff doesn’t necessarily fit with some. I mean one could have all the intentions of being patient and hardworking, but not being able to be due to the right mind set. Like can you imagine one of the pufflings barely making an effort on work just because they didn’t fee motivated, because it was just easier to stay in bed all day and just because they felt like they couldn’t bring themselves to do it? I bet they would get guilt tripped by both students and teachers by using their stereotypes as an excuse like: “I though Hufflepuffs were suppose to be hardworking, not lazy failures.” “You’re suppose to be a Hufflepuff, so start acting like it.” .....etc.
And also not all Hufflepuffs fit in those exact molds. One Hufflepuff could be extremely patient, but not hardworking at all, while another could be the most loyal Hufflepuff alive but then have a few traits of Slytherin or Ravenclaw. Just because they are in Hufflepuff, doesn’t mean that they don’t have any other traits besides the ones assigned to them. Anyway I’m getting off topic now. What I’m trying to say, Hufflepuffs aren’t all loyal, hardworking, patient pushovers. And I’m not putting them down or discrediting them, I’m trying to make the point that not all stereotypes are actually there and that they are only human and have many faults themselves.

sometimes I just blurt things out without thinking. It’s a really bad trait and I hate it because I do it at the most inopportune moments and it’s embarrassing.
Hopeless

"Does the Apple Ever Fall Far from the Tree?" by Pier Carlo Lava
Many of us in certain contexts will have heard the phrase, “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.” We are referring to an ancient proverb that normally pertains to a person, often young, and the characteristics that are believed to be inherited from the parents, whether good or bad. Consequently, this proverb can be used in both a positive and negative sense. In a positive sense, the phrase…

IGNORING BAD TRAITS
When you ignore the bad traits in someone just because it's easier to believe in the version of truth that you prefer, then you shouldn't be surprised by the bad outcome that follows all because you've chosen acceptance over doing the right thing when it mattered. Recognising the bad traits in someone but choosing to look past their indiscretions by tactfully switching your focus from the unpleasant feelings that your feeling that are inbuilt to keep you honest, but to choose to focus purely on the littlle positives that you take from your social interaction will only come back twofold when you finally realise that breaking your own morals will only taint your integrity. So when you are at these defining moments in your life that give you an opportunity to solidify your actions that support your claimed beliefs then make the right stance and be the person that you claim to be.The reason our brain either feels good or bad which ties to our own personal happiness is all based on our choices because our choices represent who we are and what we stand for, so if you can't say what you want to say infront of your peers then don't pretend that you are high and mighty above all others when your loyalties change like the wind. If you choose to focus purely on what characteristics someone should have to deserve your loyalty will the ones you've been supporting fit the mould?. Think hard how do you feel when that person leaves the room after conversing with you? Are you sated by the mutual respect or do you feel the respect is one sided? Are you ashamed that you didn't stand up and say what you really think when they were out of line? Or are you ashamed at yourself when you agreed with their statements knowing they were out of line? Maybe the real problem is that we think we are better than our neighbour when we are more the same as those that we spend a lot of time trying to convince ourselves that our intentions are true and theirs is not.
I hate how when I look back at who I was, even when I'm looking to get the good back that i need, the bad always takes over. I keep falling back in the ways I had before I pulled my head out of the bad. But I need the willpower, the confidence, the general determination to win. Do i have to keep falling back to these old habits, do they have to take over so violently. What to do, is it the good with the bad, or can I keep fighting the bad trying to pull the good In too.
