#bad work ethic

istg im not a violent person but if my coworker says another word about how Americans we have bad work ethic because we keep quitting rather than the real reason that we understand the company is not properly compensating us for our worth and treating us like garbage-

We working today! As you can see...I made more progress in my one punch man fic! I wanted to have these posted before October ended but looks like we are shooting for somewhere during my vacation. Work and life have been stressing me out but I’ve taken inspiration from friends lately who I am so thankful for.

17 hour shifts have there advantages

One of the reasons I despise group projects at University reared its ugly head today.

To boil down the project, we had to create a secure client and server. There were a few security things involved too.

I handled the client in C, whilst my teammates handled the server in Java.

We had weekly meetings, and had a battle plan for sorting this.

Fast forward to the final week, and I have a shiny, working client. They have barely a shell of a server. So I end up coding half of it. We ran out of time to implement advanced security junk, so it only sends messages and files via ssl.

But it frustrates me so much that I’m going to get dragged down by people with the uni mentality of ‘leave it till the last minute’. We have to present our work today, and whilst I can talk loads about the client, the server, and the networking, I can talk zilch about security.

This is going to suck.

lmao so long story short I commissioned this one artist on DA not knowing that I’d likely be waiting months for a finished commission. Months for a sketch I might add. Sketches which she uploaded three of in one night. Sooooo nothing that needs to take months. (And don’t give me this bullshit of “I need to want to draw it or else it wont look good.” If you hate drawing that much you need to re-examine this hobby of yours. Like damn I have zero problems drawing something for someone who just gave me their hard earned money. Have a little respect for your clients and their money. And if you can’t do that then stop taking so many bloody commissions. I really want to know how old this artist is because I can’t imagine an adult acting in this way. Making a business transaction and being like nah fuck that i don’t feel like doing it). 

Anyway, when she released a list of other people waiting for commissions it looked like i was 8th on the list. So I was basically like, yo i’m not cool with this if that list is really in chronological order i think i’d like a refund (but in a nicer way of course). Funniest part is she thought she could make the situation better by coming back with, “No no it’s not in chronological order, I just do them in whatever order I feel like doing.”...... That is literally the worst reply you can give someone. That made the situation 10x worse because now there’s zero guarantee that i’ll ever get that commission. It sounds like I’m mad but i’m really not. It’s just funny to me. But it’s all in the past now. She was woman enough to refund me and I do appreciate that. Just never going to do buisness with her again.

*at this point all who have been asked are giggling with joy that by saying these outspoken flat out NO answers they r getting away with not having 2 stay and work late... all except 4 applesauce, applesauce is my cupcake lol*

me: ....(thinking that since everyone else told him no, i really have no chance of getting out of it... and being the nice person that i am i say sumthing like) ...ehhhhhhhh, what do u got?

*distraught sMurfberry spins around and says 2 himself but outloud... *

sMurfberry: well i dont really need any cadwork, come 2 think of it, i can do this without cad

me: (looking at him mysteriously, cos now im curious what he needs) do u need my help?

sMurfberry: nahhhh, i dont think so

me: r u shur?

sMurfberry: yes, im shur. (he walks away, a man with a plan, mysterious 2 sum, bewildering 2 many)

*still i cant see how 5 dudes turned him flat ass down 2 help out and its 'ok' when i was always bitched at 4 having the attitude these dudes have. its just funny when they say the things they say, when i say it... its 'bad work ethic'....hmmmm.... interesting*

Sooooooooo! how has work been?

Work has not been.

These are things I’ve been told in the past:

"You have the work ethic of a dead person"

"You are the most part-time stripper I’ve ever supported financially"

"Wait, you’re still doing that?"

"I don’t think you can call yourself a stripper anymore"

"Seriously? Are you coming in?  I’ve been at the club the past couple weeks to see you and you’re never there"

BUT!!!  I’ve used my time well and you shall soon see the (amateurish) fruits of my labor.  However, I should stop promising things because I’m a classic over-promiser-now-angry-I-have-to-do-it-er.
