So I got the beginning and the ending bit spoiled for me by tumblr and you guys were right. Total married couple banter and the Sam/Dean x an actual couple parallels are back!
I was hoping Crowley had that entire Lucifer situation under control and I wasn’t disappointed. I mean we all expect Lucifer to break free eventually, but I liked this.
What I don’t like are the guest actors, like Gwen this week, oh my god. Can’t remember when I last didn’t think the boys they were saving were snotty brats and the girls whiny assholes. Also sure, Sam’s beating Lucifer in the past, among other word-saving things, but he’s gonna get his ass nearly handed to him by a hellhound and need some random girl’s saving. Yawn.
Speaking of yawn - I’ve been getting really sick of all the convoluted ways they kept shoving Cas back into the story, but for once it seems like his story line might actually lead up to something and be relevant, so I’m interested. And I’m not even a Cas hater, it’s just obvious there’s not much room for him in the story anymore.
Also please, please, please don’t let the trials start again. Poor Sam. I’m kind of expecting it to be a plothole that the writers forgot about (what else is new), but I’d love for it to be addressed, but not restarted.
Also thank you, writers, for the “I’m sorry for lying to you, here’s the truth.” “I don’t trust them, but I trust you.” conversation. Growth!
For the wincest impaired: Try watching the last scene imagining Mick is actually Sam’s ex boyfriend. Dean’s reactions suddenly make much more sense, huh?
