I think we’ve talked ooc before, and if I recall the mun is absolutely precious. Seriously, I’m making grabby hands for more Teddy/Callie (did they ever have a ship name?) love bc I find both the muse and mun to be incredible.

36. frustrated

His hands were resting on his stomach, and he wasn’t entirely surewhat had happened to cause everything to go to shit so fast. He wasusually much more prepared than this, but somehow he’d let his guarddown and the kid he’d be chasing had gotten the draw on him. Sure, histeam seemed to be nice about it, telling him he’d done everything he could.Yet, he’d still failed to apprehend the guy and then he’d gotten shot on topof all that. The pain hadn’t really been that intense. Not as bad as some ofthe hits he’d taken before. But now he was in the hospital, and he had toexplain the doctor looking him over that a kid had gotten the drop on him.That no, he didn’t really feel any pain, he was just completely embarrassedthat a teenager could beat him at his own game.

       “Seriously, I’m fine. Bullet was a clean shot, I’m sure of it.         Just get me outta here so I can go back and teach this kid        a lesson. Please.”

His face mirrored the frustration he felt over all of this. Derek had never taken well to being overpowered by an unsub. He always had to be the one to win in the end, and when he wasn’t, it was more than he could take. Especially when he had to explain to someone he’d never met before what had happened, and try to get them to let him go. He needed to finish what he’d started, and he couldn’t do that stuck in this hospital bed. 

       “Gimme the pain killers, bandage me up, and set me loose. I’m fine.”

Haunted By My Dreams || Delia and Teddy

What had started out as a peaceful slumber soon enough turned into endless tossing and turning. Back and forth from one side of the bed to the other until she eventually woke herself up in tears. Sitting straight up in the bed, the six year old untangled herself from the mess of sheets and grabbed her favorite stuffed animal before braving the darkness of the hallway for her mother’s room.

Once in the safety of the master bedroom, Delia came to a stop at Teddy’s side of the bed. She hated waking her up, because she knew how important sleep was to a doctor who could get called into the hospital for an emergency patient at any given moment, but what she needed more than anything in that moment was the type of comfort that only a mother could give.

“Mommy,” Delia whispered into the dark, reaching out her free hand to gently shake Teddy awake. “Mommy, can I sleep in here with you for the rest of tonight? Please.”

2. What drew you to rping this character?

Teddy Altman is one of my favorite Kim Raver characters, but since she is canon, I was so afraid that I would play her all wrong. That’s why I created her daughter instead. One of my friends finally started watching the show a couple of summers ago, and I told her that Teddy was the best. Needless to say, she ended up falling in love with her as well, so she made an indie Teddy, until she got busy with school and forgot her log-in information. I came across Angie’s Teddy not too long after, and now I just love this mother and daughter relationship that we’ve created together so, so much. I can’t ever give it up for anything. I wouldn’t want to, either, tbh.

3. What’s something you like about how you write?

I like how I can be really descriptive with my writing. Like, I love reading details and backstory, because it helps you to get to know the character a little bit better. Quality over quantity, though. Always.

4. What’s something you dislike about how you write or wish you were better at?

I’m always going to wish that I had a more expansive vocabulary, but I also wish I was a little bit better with my punctuation skills. Well, at least the semicolons and commas anyway. Oh, and also who vs. whom.

5. What’s something about your character that you’d like if you had to spend time with them?

I feel like I would like the fact that Delia is fiercely loyal to and protective of those that she cares about and loves most.

6. What’s something about your character that you wouldn’t like if you had to spend time with them?

I probably wouldn’t enjoy the fact that she likes spending so much of her free time in a hospital, because I’m not exactly the biggest fan of them. To be honest, I don’t think that my anxiety could stomach it for too long.

7. What’s a negative thing about your character that you enjoy writing?

I seem to like to put her in completely angsty situations. Like, where either she could potentially wind up losing Teddy, or Teddy might lose her. And it’s not necessarily always in death, either.

8. What’s a similarly you have with your character?

Delia and I were both born very, very ill, and it is a miracle that we both ended up surviving and living an almost completely normal life for as long as we have so far.

9. What’s a difference you have with your character?

Delia is a complete social butterfly, and I am a total introvert. I can only sit back and wish that I was as outgoing and confident as she is. I also wish that I knew what I wanted to do with the rest of my life like she has ever since she was young.

10. What’s the hardest thing for you to write?

The hardest part is when I try to write things for grownup Delia when she’s a cardio surgeon. It’s obvious that I have no plans to go into the medical field, so all the medical lingo will never come easy to me, but at least I know it’s a scalpel and not a knife. I’m just always afraid other people are going to judge me for not being correct all the time, tbh.

11. Do you think you’ve gotten better at writing anything or any type of thing or situation since you started writing this character (or roleplaying in general)?

Yeah, of course I do. Being inspired by others whose writing you admire always helps you to become a better one yourself. Or at least it always has for me anyway.

12. Why do you roleplay?

I roleplay because it’s fun. It lets me enter a world that I wish I lived in from time to time, and it also helps me better my writing skills. I just love creative writing a lot, and this is a really, really fun way to do it. Also, I’ve met some pretty great people over the years, so that’s an added bonus.

13. Do you write fiction ever, other than rping?

I have before, yes. Some of them are on other websites on here, but I unfortunately never go through with actually completing any of them. It’s so much easier to write them in my head rather than on paper for some reason. Oops.

14. Do you like fan fiction more or less than reading rp threads between characters?

I like reading fan fiction less than rp threads, but not a lot less or anything, though. There just seems to be a bigger variety of threads. I don’t really know how else to explain it.

15. Do you like or dislike OC/Canon character interactions in principle?

If the OC is plausible and well written, then I love them. I mean, the creators of the shows can’t please everyone all the time, so that’s one of the things I find so great about OCs. Some fans have really great ideas of what should be on our television screens.

16. What’s your favorite thing about rping a canon character?

First of all, thank you ever so much for being one of those people who acknowledges Delia as a canon character. No, but seriously. I’ve written certain canon characters in the past, and I like that you have scenes and things to pull from for ideas. And it’s also always nice that they will actually be acknowledged and people will want to know your thoughts about them, or whatever.

17. What’s something you dislike about rping a canon character?

Not everyone sees canon characters in the same way, so some people will try and say that you’re portraying them all wrong when what you’re really doing is the just the best that you know how. It’s what you think, and you shouldn’t care about outside noise, tbh. Well, as long as you’re not like completely OOC all the time. You know what I mean?
