For most of his brothers, there wasn’t that much of a difference between the Republic and the Empire. They were soldiers, first and foremost, and didn’t care about politics.

For Tech, it was different. The new leadership finally recognized he could be of more use as a scientist instead of being part of a "special force".

(He sometimes missed them, so lonely it physically hurt. But that was just a little sacrifice for a greater good.)

I know, I still have the other comic on “Accidentally Cursed”, but this idea came to me and since it’s a much shorter story I decided that I’d prioritize this one (AO3: /46925575)! Basic premise: An ice vulture takes Mayday’s body, Crosshair chooses to pursue the bird, and ends up in a local settlement and has to play along with the town’s people misunderstanding that they are a runaway couple.
