Mini-review:

With a dream team like this one, expectations were understandably sky-high. And yet, the show has somehow managed to surpass them. Throughout the past four weeks, it has given us a soaring story about love, loss, growing up and life in general, all of it centered around the incredible women of one specific family. That allows for a deeply insightful exploration of gender roles in South Korea, which writer Lim Sang Choon handles with both sensitivity and bite. The entire cast gives it their all too; I'm not exaggerating when I say this is career-best work from IU, Park Bo Gum, Moon So Ri and Park Hae Joon, and the supporting performers are equally brilliant. Also, kudos must be given to the art teams for the beautiful sets, costumes, make-up, CGI and cinematography. And of course, director Kim Won Seok shepherded the whole project towards brilliancy. All in all, When Life Gives You Tangerines is an unforgettable drama that will stay with you for a long time.

SUMMARY: More of everything that made Season 1 awesome, plus new friends, superpowers, and twice the chaos.

THIS SHOW HAS EVERYTHING: Action dusters, Vatican keys, private karaoke caves, ghosts, heart ricecakes, babygirl drug lords, giant crucifixes, elections, superpowers, cast-led musical numbers, police hand-puppets, stargazing, tattoo sleeves, circus fights, gangsters named after fish, and masked avengers.

HOT TAKE: This show is chaos and friendship. It's caring and kicks to the face. It's even faith and farce. I dare anyone to find someone better suited for this main role than Kim Nam Gil -- he is both leading man handsome and at the same time a pile of adorable, giggling hyenas in a trench coat.

My best guess is that the script for this show was maybe 10 pages long since it seemed like the gems of every episode came from the cast just kinda feeling their roles out and bouncing pure joy off each other for an hour at a time.

Watch to the very end and tell me if you think they're teasing at a possible Season 3...

Hilarious and heartbreaking drama at its finest. I seriously was laughing and crying at the same time. First of all Ill start out by saying that this kdrama does have a lot of triggering moments, so be careful if that’s an issue before watching. With that said, this is an amazing drama. The writing, acting, production, just everything is like 😘 beyond perfection. This is by far a very easy bingeable show. Watched the whole thing in a day! Yes it’s that good. Also cannot hype enough how both Oh Yeon Seo and Jung Woo is equally both phenomenal in this.
