Bejeweled Weapons
May I have some male Garlean WoL-adjacent (not the WoL himself, but one of their adventurer friends) with Gaius? Preferably Shadowhunter Gaius! --sammael-sas-rabenius
The Burn is a lawless place. It is not a truth born from chaos, but rather a lack of it. Odd aether has bleached it of life and made navigation by the stars a necessity. It is a skill Gaius finds he has never quite mastered as well as his borrowed companion.
“Head northward ‘till dawn. We are not far off.”
He listens and responds as he is wont to do, but it is not to take control. He trusts the Warrior of Light’s friend, eccentric as they are, who does not hide his third eye and knows the stars like perfect, finite points on a map. They have been making their way through the Burn to camp slowly. Daylight is dangerous with how easily they can be spotted. Every time they need to reorient, it falls to the newest member of their merry band.
The newest member who trips over nothing and snores like a heathen. Whatever careful breeding had resulting in someone with such cognitive ability has seemingly been wasted for how he conducts himself. Gaius wonders whose heir he may have been, given he had not become a deserter, and if they may have met.
But such dreams are not to be had when they have many an hour of walking ahead. Gaius squares his shoulders, places his curiosity in a lockbox, and perseveres.
Bloopers:
do ya’ll think i can get a lifesize cardboard cutout of him
i would like to be cradled in his big ol’ arms please
is it tumblr-appropriate to write a ballad about how handsome he is
okay but the WoL would throw down for their pals and now i cant stop imagining my tiny miqo’te yanking gaius down by his collar to threaten him with a fate worse than death because his friend came back with one (1) tiny papercut
writing Garlean characters is hard but so is writing in general y e e t
can u believe i have never written this man before in my l i f e ? it’s like doing the OOC tango
The misguided elevate the frail...and the frail lead the people astray.Unless a man of power wrests control...the cycle will never be broken.
