WE’RE LAUNCHING THE SECOND ANNUAL BAGEL FESTIVAL IN MONTICELLO
A press conference announcing the launch of the 2nd Annual Bagel Festival in Monticello (The Bagel Capital) will be held on April 9th at 5:00pm in the Legislative Hearing Room at the Sullivan CountyGovernment Center in Monticello.
Last year’s inaugural Bagel Festival was an outstanding event with thousands of visitors converging on the Village of Monticello to celebrate the edible splendor of the bagel. Vendors lined both sides of the main street of the village and the bagel ruled supreme that day in the Crossroads of the Catskills.
Jeff Siegel, the head of the Monticello Business Association and the President of a the promotion company, The Spencer Daniels Agency, will announce a line of national artists participating in this year’s event and will outline the events and special contests and giveaways to be held during the festival.
“We’re very excited about this year’s festival. We will be unveiling the original bagel making machine that was developed here in the Catskills and recognizing local and state officials who helped get the event off the ground and make it the great success that it was. We’re also announcing that we will be holding The Bagel Festival on Sunday this year so that those summer residents in the Catskills who could not attend on their Sabbath will be able to enjoy all the events and attractions this year.
