ahh yes hello mutual I love randomly clicking on someone’s blog and following because of vibes and the beautiful color of yellow anyway this is patrick the bagginshield dentist I hope I find you very well I personally am rather bored so entertain me I am here to ask you about your favorite bagginshield headcanon(s)
although both have the love language of gifting due to it being culturally taught to them (in my headcanon), they each have a secondary love language. thorin's is acts of service while bilbo's is quality time.
thorin will drop everything to fix something that's inconvenient for bilbo, like a squeaky cabinet door or getting more hair oils for the hair on his feet if bilbo's running out.
bilbo loves just sitting in the same room as thorin, whether that be sketching out things he remembers from the journey for his book or mending his clothes while thorin fills out paperwork at the desk in their bedroom
you'd think thorin is a heavy sleeper since dwarves are made of stone, but i think that actually, thorin's a light sleeper. as he got older he fell asleep easier but was also woken up easier, which was quite helpful on the journey when he needed to be woken up to keep watch. bilbo? genuinely sleeps like a log. he'll toss and turn for five minutes or so but the moment he finds the comfy spot he completely knocked out and doesn't wake at all until the next morning.
they're both good with kids, but thorin's especially good at handling kids who have way too much energy while bilbo is really careful of the very shy, scared kids and helped them get out of their shell a little
bilbo swears like a sailor. thorin will say "shit" and "damn" and "fuck" in khuzdul while bilbo, if you really work him up will curse your entire bloodline
they both can handle their liquor quite well, it takes a lot to get them drunk
when they do get drunk, bilbo becomes pretty giggly and flirty, while thorin just really sappy. they both will be singing at the top of their lungs
bilbo is absolutely 100% a morning person, he loves getting up early and enjoying the quiet, wee hours of the morning to himself. he's always found mornings very peaceful and warm.
thorin's a night owl, although it's often because of work he stays up so late, he still does find nights are serene and beautiful. especially on a clear night where there are stars.
on the night of their wedding, when they were back in their chambers thorin snuck them out to a field on one of the mountains sides for stargazing. thorin's always admired the stars, he'd go stargazing with his mother and brother.
bilbo loves fishing, he'd always go with his father and cousin, and has taken thorin to go fishing with him (although it's a little different in dale than it was in the shire, he'll admit.)
