“Hey, you know what’s weird?” Bahorel asks, because Feuilly’s not looking at him, and it’s easier, this way. (Feuilly’s watching Enjolras stumble across the bar and plop down heavily at Grantaire’s side, watching him lean his head on Grantaire’s shoulder and watching Grantaire run his fingers through his hair. Bahorel’s mostly just watching Feuilly.)

“Nu?” Their ankles kick together; Bahorel takes the opportunity to hook his own around Feuilly’s, to keep him close. “What’s weird?” [...] “Hey-” Good start- “You ever wonder why we never hooked up?” he asks.

AKA, how Bahorel and Feuilly finally get their shit together, while their friends are busy finally getting their shit together.

First impression: Hugo didn’t need to target me like this?? I already liked the book?? This is completely unasked for, I am Under Attack Impression now:I am Under Attack from this book and also actual art history??? UNFAIR? 

 Favorite moment:oh geez all his scenes are Gold probably the whole notice-tearing scene, but atm I’m also cracking up about his whole “hey every seminarian is a firecracker” comment, Bahorel you know Enjolras  omg 

Idea for a story:aaah I have so many I will Never Write Because I Don’t Fic --but if I DID I’d love to write the one where his mom comes up on a Surprise Visit and catches him in the middle of a #Romantic Naked Weed Party  and proceeds to go full Revolutionary French Style Nanny Ogg and shamelessly get on fantastically well with all his friends, drinking and smoking and having a grand time telling Mom Stories about her kids , to his combined pride/horror 

Unpopular opinion:aside from not shipping him with Feuilly even a little?Eh, the common thing with all non-Enjolras amis of often feeling like his canon political commitment gets dismissed, with the added unease that comes with seeing that happen to one of the few Amis with a specifically non-middle-class background?--More specific to him,  he’s a frigging nerd, I feel like this is Tragically Unrealized because people think he’s a jock but no  he’s a frigging Theater Nerd and cries over all Prouvaire’s Sad Poetry and some of the stuff that’s not SUPPOSED to be sad but is just Too Beautiful and has  almost certainly  written fanfic about Shakespeare plays. He may be the most physically competent of fansquealing nerds, but, and I say this with love and recognition of one to another,  an utter fansquealing nerd he is. 

Favorite relationship:Actually Happening On-Page? Gavroche, although Joly is close there Meta, it’s Prouvaire, of course of course:D (and Gavroche, still. The Should Have Been there breaks my heart in the best Les Mis way.) 

Favorite headcanon :Every time someone writes Bahorel as a werewolf, especially when it’s not otherwise an especially Fantastic -mode AU,  my heart sings :D

There's a lot that I'd associate you with but the biggest Brand I can say is "Winter Fighter™ Fighting The Snow Six Months Out Of The Year"

I especially love it since this year is announced to be “epic”. apparently much worse that last year, when I had to dig myself out of a mountain of snow a foot taller than me every morning to go to work.

There’s no way in hell I can write something in 3 sentences, by the way.

“And here is your room!” Bahorel announced proudly, settling the comically small suitcase onto the bed. The room still vaguely smelled of fresh paint, but in a comforting way. In a “fresh start” kind of way.

The little boy looked around him, like he didn’t know if he was allowed to touch anything.

“My room?”

“Well, of course! Your room, your toys, your bed, your everything,” Bahorel smiled.

The boy took a tentative step and pressed his palm against the wall.

“Green’s my favourite colour,” he said.

Leaning against the doorframe, Feuilly did his best to keep himself together.

“We know,” he said, choked up.
