Takeru vs Bailey Sugden - MTGP Impact in Paris
Takeru is finally set to make his ONE Championship debut (after 7 months)! Originally scheduled for the dream fight with Rodtang, Takeru will face Superlek Kiatmuu9 instead. And the fight will be the ONE Flyweight kickboxing title.
Fight will be this Sunday (Jan. 28) - 3am EST - as the headliner for ONE 165 on iPPV.

Takeru KOs Bailey Sugden in extra time
First live MTGP event and I am not impressed. Time keeper has been SHIT tonight. Takeru and Sugden fought for 15 minutes and the time keeper thought it wasn’t long enough. 3 minutes went by in the 5th round and the bell never came. Takeru and Sugden were doing the stereotypical brawl to the bell but the bell never came and as a result Takeru landed a head kick that put Sugden out. Dude took unnecessary damage for no reason.
Props to Sugden. Got hit butt kicked over the last 3-4 rounds but never stopped trying to rally. Landed some nice shots while moving early on but body shots and attacks to his rear shoulder really shut down his offense. Takeru’s pressure got to him and his knees along the ropes were taking up Sugden’s air. He managed to drop Sugden twice and got two more standing 8 counts (that were really long). Takeru wasn’t as sharp as he previously has been but he was gone for a year (and fighting a bigger opponent). Cool to see him get a win after the Tenshin loss. Excited for the future.

Bailey Sugden vs. John Morehouse - GLORY 72
Bailey Sugden has the opportunity of a lifetime in front of him. He is tasked with welcoming a returning P4P talent Takeru back to kickboxing following his hiatus from the sport. The British Kickboxer enters this week on a three fight winning streak and is hoping that a 4th will launch his young kickboxing career into the stratosphere.
Sugden and Takeru will meet this Saturday (June 24) in the main event of MTGP Impact in Paris.

Former Glory fighter Asa Ten Pow (1-0) made the jump to MMA back in September, scoring a quick stoppage win over a man who had 0 business in the cage with him. Ten Pow will continue his MMA career this Friday (Dec. 17) when he faces off with Chris Roman (3-3) at Titan FC 73 which will stream on Fight Pass.
