Thinking about doing a Series Sunday for the next couple of weeks? Might or might not keep up with this, but for now here is a great cozy mystery series! The general plot of the series as a whole follows Katie, a witch and avid baker. There's murder, romance, and fun animal sidekicks galore. In this recent book Katie has to figure out why a woman walks (seemingly unprompted) in front of a car. She also has to figure out what to do about her living situation now that she's engaged-- I won't tell you with whom. Some things I really appreciate about these books: 1.) Awesome recipes included in the back of each book for the baked goods she and her aunt make and sell. 2.) Lots of really great women characters from all walks of life, from lawyers to florists. 3.) The "side-characters" are far from static. While they don't steal the limelight from the MC they are always changing and growing. This book one got pregnant, and one began a new relationship. 4.) The MC doesn't mess around with a love triangle for more than I think a book? If that? Which I appreciate. 5.) I'm a big fan of when a mystery series has a side character call out how often murders happen around the MC, and this one does that. #baileycates #seriessunday #browniesandbroomsticks
