Hey guys! My band The All-New Insane! competing at a battle of the bands type deal on July 18th at Tidball’s in Bowling Green, KY!  The event is called Live On The Lot II and we’ll be competing against 9 other bands for the chance to play at their big event in September. Lo-fi indie rock band Sweetrocket have released two new compilations, Ultimate Collection and 100% Pure Sunshine, with Baker being featured on the former's "Spider" and both "The World Is Out of Control" and "21" on the latter. In addition, Baker also makes an appearance on experimental band Chromosome Homes’ new album, ‘In Amish’, on a remixed version of “Chanson D’Amour” (here, titled “Chanson”). Found an old email I sent Tyler from Twenty One Pilots back in 2012 after I met them at Boney June's in Evansville, Indiana. Seven years already.

It was a run down venue that was inside of an abandoned pregnancy resource center in the parking lot of a Cici's Pizza. It's shut down now, but seeing them back then was a huge inspiration to me.

I remember some girl saying "Who's 'Twenty One Pilots?' And her friend replied with "They're some weird band that makes Tim Burton-ass music" and she showed her Ode To Sleep on her phone. I thought it was the coolest thing ever. They rolled this hollowed out grand piano on stage and I knew right then we were about to see something special. I thought it was a real piano, but he told me otherwise in the email.

They had two hand pressed albums "Self Titled" and "Regional At Best" that my friend and I both bought and asked them to sign. We were crazy about them back then and they're small venue live shows still hold a place in my heart as the best shows I've ever been to. I've never met two more genuine people in my life.

The email is inactive now, but I'm incredibly happy that someone that started at the same level as me ended up making it. Insane to think about.
