More people should make dino 'sonas. This is Cinder, a balaur bondoc oc I made. Love these little things... Tried to give them a bit of corvidlike iridescence but it didn't come across quite as I wanted it to.

Arditi - Sturm V

This was the follow-up to a drawing I had previously done (which I am not uploading here, as it's based off of a photo of Hitler and Mussolini and has our feathered Romanian friend performing the Bellamy/Roman Salute), this is a depiction of Romanian Conducator Corneliu Codreanu observing aircraft of the Royal Romanian Air Force fly overhead in a demonstration of Romanian military power. The basic gist being that Romania had seen the rise of the Fascist Iron Guard in the mid-1930s, who blamed their country's humiliating defeat during the Great War on the Magyars, Germans, Bulgarians, and, most of all, on the Jews. Under Codreanu (and with the acceptance of King Carol), they allied with Serbia and Greece, who were similarly under the rule of authoritarian monarchs and fascistic governments. They signed the Belgrade Pact, also known alternatively as the Tripartite, the Pact of Steel, the Orthodox Pact, and the Second Balkan League, united by their revanchism towards Bulgaria and Hungary, as well as their furor towards what they perceived as internal enemies. In 1939, Romania possessed the second-largest air force in Southeastern Europe, after neighboring Hungary, as part of the Iron Guard's military build-up for their desired offensive of revenge against Bulgaria and Hungary. It would be this arm that would prove most devastating against the Allies, especially in conjunction with friendly Serbian and Greek forces, in the Axis's entry into the Second World War. The Romanians would swiftly gain much ground, in part due to their air power as well as to how the Hungarians were tied down trying to fight the Soviets.
