not my best Bal art, but the goal was speed while staying detailed. thought I was done with white armors but turns out "The Ideal Invincible Dragon, Bal Dragon" is some sort of fusion/retrain of the base white armor, so it counts.

Apical Sun Deity, Bal Dragon

this armor was not next, despite being a white armor. but after noticing its an upgrade to the standard armor, it wasn't as hopeless to parse the design. Bal Saucer Infinity Strike uses the same armor and a disc so this is cheating a bit, but the disc is also in an armorless card so this is the only way i'd ever add it during this project.

been a minute, decided to try some cel shading again, I noticed this is fairly similar to explosive sun dragon, but redder and hotter.

turns out I mentally blocked out one non-impact monster, being "Bal Dragon of Roaring Fist". out of fear of the design, but after understanding the gimmick I actually really like this form. another victim of the lack of visible angles unfortunately though.

this is "Bal Dragon,"Bursting Bal Slash" technically, but the alt art of the original "Dragon of the Sun, Bal Dragon" uses this sword blade attached to the chest piece. I split the difference and went with the impact monster. Don't ask me what he's holding to use the blade like that, I'm just the interpreter.

Third Bal I've drawn. Explosive Sun Dragon Bal Dragon's defining feature is that all his hair on fire. A small difference but its enough to count as a unique variant to draw.

getting into impact monsters now, seems like they don't have traditional names, this one being 'Bal Dragon, "Dual Arm Bal Bunker"' got cool pile bunkers on his gauntlets.

okay, finally I'm done with original armor with Heated up sun, Bal dragon. i finally have to choose between the red and black armor sets, because I fear the white alt armors' complexity.
