I managed to get tickets to the production of the Lightning Thief that Chris McCarrell is directing and it was so good!!
First of all it was in collaboration with Baldwin Wallace and all the crew and actors were students of the music program there and they were SO GOOD! Also Chris is an alumni of BW hence the production being a BW one but I too am a BW grad so it was amazing to support my alma mater like this.
Secondly, the production was awesome! I'm always amazed by the talent of those in the BW conservatory (I mean both Chris and Ciara Renee are BW Con grads) and this was no exception. They were all stellar. The songs were lit, the humor was perfect, the props were fantastic. It was just so good and I'm so glad I was able to get a ticket to see this.
Also, Chris was seated only a few seats away from me and when he wasn't taking photos he was rocking out. Full on headbanging and dancing in his seat. It was so fun. He was having such a great time and you can see how proud he is of these kids.
And after the show ended my sister and I got to meet him!!! He's so nice!!! My sister got a pic with him (I didn't but I am cool with that)!
It’s our student teachers last day with us :( gonna miss him. Our band president did a little speech last night during our concert and gave him a gift we do as tradition as well as one from dci tradition and he cried.
He’s such a cool guy. I know he’ll be back to support us. You’ll do good things, Leo. We’ll always remember you :)

It’s rarely perfect, but I’ll gladly take good enough.
