Today is World Oceans Day, and as I found out a few days ago, the year @disneylittlemermaid turns 30. What better reasons could I ask for breaking out my new Belleek pieces I so luckily found at @penny_lane_antique_mall . They are delicate and perfect. With them I’m serving a mix of mazikono cha and bamboo tea, for a vegetal brew that has a salinity reminiscent of marine layer at the beach. If I can’t actually be a mermaid, I can certainly do my best to live like one. It’s why I left my landlocked state for a coastal one, why my house is painted in soft greys and blues, and why I’ve kept my childhood shell collection all these years.
