I swear to the gods, read the Changeling. Ginny gets sorted into slytherin, and it follows her growth and sharpening into a weapon of war. It not only expands on Ginny but on the entirety of what it means to be a Sytherin living with a title that means you’re instantly feared and pushed away, even, in Ginny’s case, by your own family. The writing is gorgeous, just *chefs kiss*, visceral; reading like a journal written by someone in disassociated fury. It’s like, these characters are statues that have been carved and beaten until they form something beautiful. That’s hella flowery but. Agh. This fic reminds you what the core of the Hogwarts community is meant to be. That and, well, The Changeling has the honorable title of Nearly Made Me Cry, which has happened rarely enough that I can count it on one hand.
