Some general after Chapter 5 headcanons, Octavia and Cicero edition:
-It takes Cicero a long time to actually adjust to Octavia no longer being possessed. She started viewing Octavia as Cheeser during Chapter 5 as a coping mechanism (Cheeser was vicious towards her, and the idea of Octavia doing that to her was painful), and it's difficult to overcome. She knows it's real, and that Octavia is Octavia, but she doesn't really believe it.
-Octavia is fully aware that Cicero sees her as Cheeser, though she pretends she isn't.
-Cicero also struggles with believing that it's all over. She spent so long looking for the tablet pieces, and then the Ovenist fixes it just like that. Within a week, with Dr. Keh's help (I don't care what canon says. Everyone thinks it's strange that the Ovenist asked him for help, and thinks it's even stranger that he agreed). She legitimately feels like she's in a dream, since she's not used to things going well for her.
-After chapter 5, Octavia was extra nice as a way of apologizing. And because the idea of being mad at Cicero repulses her, since Cheeser was often angry at Cicero. Octavia being that nice creeps Cicero out, since Octavia usually isn't that easygoing.
-Octavia struggles with seeing herself as separate from Cheeser, and often will have times where she thinks she's still possessed. Only the Ovenist and sometimes Cicero can shake her out of it.
-Cicero and Octavia still have baggage from the Pomperonii expedition. Octavia will defer to Cicero, because she completely ignored Cicero's worry about the dough and it ended up badly. Meanwhile, Cicero won't let it show if Octavia did something that upset her, since she's afraid that if they fight again Octavia will re-eat the dough.
^They did end up talking about everything that happened and their relationship, but the Ovenist had to take the dough temporarily first (Cicero is really bothered by Octavia having it with her).
-Octavia can be really distant at times. Cicero thinks it's because Octavia is mad at her. But the truth is Octavia's worried that she'll suddenly be possessed again and try to kill Cicero.
-Cicero feels guilty about not telling Octavia about the dough, and for not being able to find the tablet quickly enough, and for not asking the Ovenist for help earlier.
-Octavia doesn't trust anyone to truly have her back when she's in trouble (her family is abusive and influential, she learned early on not to trust people). She does trust Cicero, but it's very easy for Octavia to assume the worst of people and she doesn't really believe that anyone could genuinely be that nice.
^ It was part of why she chose to eat the dough, even though she knew Cicero didn't want her to eat it.
^On the note of above: It meant a lot to her that Cicero saved her despite everything Cheeser put her through.
^She still struggles with trusting Cicero, and sometimes worries that Cicero only saved her to save Pizza City. But she's trying to work on it.
-Sometimes Octavia will get some progress convincing Cicero that she's not Cheeser, and things are normal again. But people keep bringing up the case and then Cicero is wary again.
-After Chapter 5, Octavia made an effort to clear Cicero's name and stop people from thinking badly about her. It worked well for the most part, since people view Octavia as Cheeser's heir. Some people suspect that Cicero used magic on Octavia to make Octavia act different, though.
-Cicero tries to help Octavia heal from being possessed by Cheeser, but it usually doesn't work (Cheeser had a vendetta against Cicero, and Octavia worries about accidentally hurting Cicero because of that). The Ovenist has better progress, since Octavia kind of views them as a hero-figure.
-Octavia eventually finds that exercise helps her remember that she's herself, so she starts working out. She always does it in private, though.
-Before Chapter 5, Cicero never learned how to ice skate, despite Octavia's insistence that she learn. After Chapter 5, she asked Octavia to teach her.
-Octavia isn't bothered by retaining Cheeser's Romano powers-she enjoys being able to use them and teaches herself new spells. She hides this from Cicero, though.
-Before Chapter 5, Octavia and Cicero's dynamic was somewhat skewed. Octavia would usually take the lead, and plan the activities and rope Cicero into things. Cicero never minded, because she enjoys being included.
-Octavia cut and dyed her hair, as a way of distancing herself from Cheeser.
