Today for Fun: Orientations and Gender as currently headcanoned for the F4 (as set in the year 1992, very important) -
Bud Fludd / The Liquidator: Male, Bisexual / Aromantic and completely unaware of either one, but if you were to timetravel and bring up the terms, he would only be a little gruntled at first. He’s too creative to not be a bit open minded
Reginald Bushroot: Straight, Male By Default but he’s not attached to gender norms due to plant sexes sometimes being “ ??? ”. He is old-school and frankly lives under a rock, and he would be a little confused, but he isn’t opposed to being gender-curious if he found out it was a thing he could do. He’s got the spirit
Quackerjack: Male, super Gay. Definitely has visited gay bars before, and uses the term Queer on himself, but not openly - he is a toymaker in 1992. The public would have misconstrued it as him overtly announcing he’s a predator. (For young people who don’t remember: In the 20th century, pop culture was so confused about the Gays and Drag Queens and Queers and whatnot that they had no idea what they were even looking at. Things have changed a lot.) Anyway QJ is also an ally to trans people and anything else even vaguely queer-coded
Elmo Sputterspark / Megavolt: The picture of Positive Male Influence because he identifies as male but isn’t remotely opposed to “girl” or “queer” stuff. Ask him to wear a dress? That’s fine. Pink is fine too. Nail polish and makeup is fine. Doesn’t bat an eye at the mention of the menstrual cycle. Turns out QJ is gay? That’s fine too. ZERO toxic masculinity here. And Very Ace, unsure about romantic orientation but it’s there? I don’t see this dude wanting to date anybody as he is today, though. And what he does in the privacy of his own home is his business
