This tasty ice cream pie has all the flavors of a classic banana split. Vanilla ice cream, fresh bananas, tangy pineapple, crunchy walnuts, and rich chocolate syrup are all stacked on top of a crunchy graham cracker crust. It tastes like a banana split but is in the form of a pie and is topped with bright maraschino cherries.
Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs. 1/4 cup sugar. 1/3 cup butter, melted. 1 quart vanilla ice cream, softened. 3 ripe bananas, sliced. 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained. 1/2 cup chopped walnuts. 1/2 cup chocolate syrup. 1/2 cup maraschino cherries, drained and chopped.
Instructions: In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Press onto the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie plate. Freeze until firm, about 30 minutes. Spread half of the softened vanilla ice cream over the crust. Layer with sliced bananas, crushed pineapple, and chopped walnuts. Drizzle with chocolate syrup. Spread the remaining vanilla ice cream over the top. Cover and freeze until firm, about 4 hours or overnight. Before serving, top with chopped maraschino cherries. Slice and serve chilled.
