It's random AUs thoughts time

I've seen a bunch of "Creaking King possesses Nom" fanfics, and they're absolutely peak, but I NEED one where the CK just can't possess him because you know. He has strong willpower. Strong willpower always works. So like maybe instead of Nom dying when the CK is killed, mr. evil king dude gets trapped in Nom's head instead. But differently from Sausage, Nom got that freaking strong willpower... and so at most the CK can just annoy the man or stuff like that. Nom chillin maybe like helping Scott move some potted flowers or sum and the CK in his head just monologuing, and after a while he just gets so annoyed he slams a potted flower down with a bit too much violence (i.e. accidentally breaks the pot), then sighs and start singing some random song to make it clear that it's not him trapped with the CK, it's the CK trapped with him. Enjoy some music weird entity in my head that hates all that's good and jolly. Would add another layer of funny if CK could only possess Nom when he's zoning out (it happens) so suddenly you see the knight's eyes start glowing in an amberish colour and he starts monologuing about doomsday or sum and then he shakes his head, his eyes go back to normal and he smiles like :) don't worry that's fine :) it happens sometimes :) don't mind it it's just annoying at best :))

He adopts (accidentally) two rogues that tried to steal some of his treasure. They still try to rob him and are sometimes successful. Are they annoying? Yes. Is he going to do anything about them? Not really! He's too fond of them.

Some people are still terrified of the mighty, black dragon. They make a sacrifice. Now the cave also harbours a little half-elf mage who gets along well with the rogues. Plus, he's very nice to talk to.

Flowersmith Heathers au

Scott = Veronica Nom = JD Red Kingdom = The Heathers

So the reason that JD!Nom is mad enough to want the heathers/red kingdom to die is because obviously they "stole" his sister. And the reason that Veronica!Scott goes along with it is for the same reason he is going along with Nom in bannerfall because Nom has been the only one who's nice and welcoming to him.

Rogue!Owain au where he never gets taken in by King Arthur. Instead he grows up on the streets. Never quite sticking to one anme or pseudonym, but known by many. Learning to use whatever means to survive. Stealing and ever the odd job here or there.

Being distrustful of knights. Perhaps because they never helped when he was young. Or perhaps because they now as an adult chase him down. Fleeing from Walesland. Perhaps this time Mordred didn’t want to dirty his hands, but has no problem paying “someone else” to dirty theirs.

Imagine this Owain arriving at the kingdoms, not meaning to stay long. But warming up to the people. He doesn’t care much for the two kingdoms thing, but the people. Once tvey’ve earned his loyalty and trust he’ll have their back no matter what. So he stays. And he fights. Doing what he wants to in order to aid the kingdom. His kingdom now. Besides, pranking red alongside his kingdom mates id not something he’s gonna pass down on.

I think he would lean more intentionally into the sassiness and ragebaiting than in canon. Purely because he doesn’t have any standards he holds himself to and doesn’t really respect people purely bevause of their accomplishments or roles

inverse of my previously mentioned ghost knights au where the knights of the round table follow Owain as ghosts who can't interact with him and are forced to watch the horrors he forces on himself, Ghost Owain au where he failed to escape the kingdom in time. In the wake of his death the true murderer is revealed and the kingdom stays standing, but the knights are forever haunted by their misjudgments.

Literally, because Owain is haunting the castle. It's either Area Unknown Ghost Owen style where he simply does not remember or understand what's going on, or it's just generally a sad ghost who cries in the hallways, pleading for his innocence that can never again be granted.
