WELL I just saw Bar Association and I'm so so happy for Rom, his career AND his love life just turned around overnight, what a great progression for him! 🎉
Sooo Leeta and Julian... what I gather from the three sentences about their relationship and the fact that Julian doesn't even look at her when she's talking to him (lol) is that Leeta seems to think it's exclusive/serious, but Julian is not that into it, and also it turns out from Leeta's actions that she's not that into it either. 😂
As my friend said, some people are just not meant for each other and that's okay! lol
As for how this effects my Garashir headcanon that they were dating in season 3, if I'm honestly trying to reconcile it with canon, I think it would make sense that Garak pulled away after TDIC for self-pitying reasons, and Julian took up with Leeta as a placeholder (poor Leeta!).
But also, Garak and Julian seem on very good terms in 4x01, and by OMB (if we take things at face value) they haven't been seeing a lot of each other and Garak is upset about it (OR as I said in my last post, they are doing fine and Garak crashing the holosuite is all a roleplay lol).
So in conclusion, either they are exes that are staying friends, or they're still dating and Julian is public-dating Leeta as a cover because they don't want to advertise it for political reasons. Easy peasy so far! lol
Delighted to realize that the episode of DS9 where Rom forms a union is the same episode of DS9 where Odo gleefully gets to present Worf with his prepared list of all the security breaches on the Enterprise which he has been keeping on his desk probably since the day after Worf arrived. Oh also the episode where O’Brien has the better [than a hero] he was a union man quote.
Is Bar Association the most gifed episode of the show? Right now I’m thinking it’s a toss up between that and Our Man Bashir.
