Saiyaara

Watched Saiyaara last night and I think it's one of the best bollywood has ever made. There is no complicated storyline or anything extravagant, the movie just tried to connect with every hopeless romantic's heart and handsdown it did. It depicted love in its purest form, selfless. The way Krish Kapoor yearned for her is a very rare perspective in today's selfish world, whereas Vaani potrayed the last step of love, letting go beautifully. Krish was ready to give up on his career for her, whereas Vaani was ready to give up her love to save his career. If this isn't the most ethereal form of love then I don't know what is.

But, the only question that lingered in my mind after this film was whether this is even realistic? Is it even possible to love someone so much? What if I never find this type of love in my lifetime? This movie has left me with a sense of longing and loneliness. There is a void in me that can only be filled with a consuming, mad love.
