Would it be a hot take to say I like Blaine better as Barbie's Boyfriend than ken?
The Fact that the only way I can get the new Barbie Movie Dolls at Physical Retail is to either wait until whenever the hell they show up at my local Target or Walmart or Go to the main Mattel Toy Store in El Segundo (which is far from me) REALLY Upsets me.
Like Yeah I know I could just amazon and get next day (or possibly same day) shipping. But i'd rather not because I prefer getting things in retail for various reasons, including being able to look at the doll for any imperfections/bad QC.
I have to go to target this week anyways, and i've seen people posting about Target starting to get them so hopefully they have them but I doubt it. Also despite what I said earlier i'm still considering heading out to the main Mattel Store Anyways because iirc the guy at the other store says the main one has a 10% Discount or something, plus it looks way bigger and i've always wanted to go.
I think Ken from the Barbie movie line leaking first before Barbie was a good tone/expectation setter for the line, how they clothes are gonna be a bit nicer, how the dolls are on the articulated (but not MTM) body, and how they're doing *slightly* Barbiefied versions of the cast for the face ups/sculpts and not straight up celebrity dolls.
