I may have written a something rotten fan fiction today.
It may be fluff.
And it may be about William Shakespeare being cute and in love with Nick Bottom.
............
Should I post it?
YES SOMETHING ROTTEN FLUFF! SR ANYTHING!
Hi, anon! Here’s some pizza/movie night fluff (set in the Frat Boy AU)
“Nick, Will’s hogging all the pizza!”
Nick jokingly glared at his boyfriend. “Will, stop hogging all the pizza.”
Will finished shoving the slice into his mouth. He swallowed before whining, “I’m not!”
Nigel crossed his arms and pouted. “You’ve had, like, 5 pieces of the veggie one. My favorite kind.”
“I’m the guest.”
“You practically live here!”
Will ruffled Nigel’s curly hair with greasy fingers. “Alright. I won’t have any more,” He said, before smugly helping himself to the other pizza, which was topped with pepperoni.
Nick Bottom and Will Shakespeare had just started their second semester of their Senior Year of college. Nick had decided that his younger brother, Nigel, needed to take a break from his studies, so they were taking an evening to have pizza and relax. New York City was brutally cold in the winter, but the three boys were plenty warm inside the small apartment.
Even though he knew Nigel was correct about Will’s inability to share, Nick let him take more than a few slices of pizza. He knew that back home in England, his boyfriend was forced to share everything with his younger siblings. Graduation was in sight, and Nick wasn’t sure where Will would end up from there. He had said that he planned to stay with Nick in the States, but Nick knew that he could easily change his mind. Nick wanted to make the most of the time they had left together.
To ease the tension, Nick suggested, “Hey, why don’t we watch a movie?” He walked over to one of the closets and pulled out 3 large bean bag chairs, which were reserved for movie nights.
Nigel bounces a little in his seat. “Yeah! We haven’t done that in a long time!” He trotted over to the shelf that contained a small selection of DVDs, all of which they’d watched before.
“One condition: No behind-the-scenes commentary this time,” Nick stated plainly as he dragged the beanbag chairs in front of the TV, along with a large blanket.
Nigel deflated slightly. “C’mon! I love to hear about all of the work that went into the creation of the film!” Hearing this, Will groaned.
Nudging him playfully, Nick said, “Because you’re supposed to be relaxing and taking a break from your schoolwork. Not analyzing the movies. That’s the whole point of why we’re doing this.” He sat down on one of the bean bag chairs.
“Besides,” Will chimed in, carrying the pizzas over and setting them on the coffee table in front of the couch, “That stuff is boring.” He cracked open a can of Cherry Coke (he was trying not to drink in front of Nigel), plopped down on the couch (because he couldn’t stand bean bag chairs), and put his feet up.
Wide-eyed, Nigel gasped. “How can you say that? You’re a writer! Sort of.” Will was an English major, but he prefered theatre. Everyone on campus wanted him to major in it, but Will always refused, for the sake of his parents.
“Yeah, but the writing process is boring. To me, at least.” Noticing the disappointed look in Nigel’s brown eyes, WIll changed the subject. “Let’s watch Rent.”
Rolling his eyes, Nigel pulled The Lion King off the shelf. “Fat chance. You and Nick cry every time you watch that. And it’s annoying that you know all the lyrics.”
Will stood up and started jumping up and down on the couch. Cuz it’s a masterpiece! La Vie Boheme!”
Nigel shook his head and put the movie in the DVD player. Will started singing, and continued to bounce.
Without getting up from his beanbag chair (or even turning around), Nick shook his head in disgust. “Will, you’re gonna piss off the neighbors.”
“LA VIE BOHEME!” Will yelled, before launching himself off the couch and landing on Nick. Luckily, the beanbag chairs were fluffy enough that Nick wasn’t totally crushed.
Nick laughed. “Get off me, you big jerk,” he giggled, attempting to shove Will away. “You almost squashed me.”
Will sprawled across Nick’s lap and pouted. “Hey, don’t be mean. I’m not that big.”
Nick poked Will’s potbelly, and Will slapped his hand away. Soon, the two were playfully wrestling on the beanbag pile.
Smirking, Nigel climbed on the couch. “Oh my,” he said sarcastically, “Wouldn’t it be a shame if someone interrupted this sparring match?”
Nick squirmed from Will’s grasp long enough to see what Nigel was talking about. His eyes bulged. “Don’t even think about-”
Nigel jumped and belly flopped on top of them.
“Ohh, you’re in trouble now, young Bottom!” Will exclaimed, pinning Nigel’s arms. “Tickle him, Nick!”
“Wait! Don’t! I’m sorry!” was all Nigel managed to squeal before bursting into a fit of laughter.
After everyone had calmed down, Nigel grabbed the remote and pressed play. Will pulled the blanket over the three of them, and they all snuggled into their respective chairs. Nigel leaned his head against Nick, and Will stayed put, instead of going back to the couch.
Nick leaned toward his boyfriend and whispered, “I thought you didn’t like bean bag chairs.”
Will gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before groping for the pizza box. “Don’t talk. The movie’s starting.”
Will Chase remembered the Great Nickspeare Kiss of 2016, gotta blast
