Snapshots from our magical indoor jungle tonight. I love creating these little vignettes.
From the view of the last smiles of the year upon the tawny leaves and withered hedges... Autumn, that season of peculiar and inexhaustible influence on the mind of taste and tenderness--that season which has drawn from every poet worthy of being read some attempt at description, or some lines of feeling. ~Jane Austen Autumn has always held a special place in my heart. Leaves drift away, shifting to brilliant colors. Cool air creeps through the night, while darkness settles in more quickly. Sweaters, pumpkins, leaf crunching, change, and Halloween or Samhain, of course! To celebrate this beautiful change, my yoga practice focused on releasing my body and mind, undoing old tensions and ideas. A new wave of energy has settled over me, with lightness in my soul. I baked fresh vegan muffins (http://www.naivecookcooks.com/vegan-banana-muffins/), cleaned my yoga mat, and spent some time dancing in the woods 🍂 Meditating, I release what no longer serves me and welcome fresh transformation. Happy Autumn Equinox! Set time aside for yourself to journal, reflecting upon the meaning this season holds for you 🙏 #autumnequinox #transformation #ritual #yogalife #yoga #barefootpagan #meditate #mentalhealth #meditation #yogaempowerment #baking #mindful #muffin #veganrecipes #journaling #reflection #selfcare #healing #recovery #janeausten #quote
Miss Mouse checking out the progress on the new quilt and hoping I get around to stitching up her dress soon.
Miss Mouse gives her opinion on my choice of fabric for a new tiny quilt. Machine pieced, will be hand quilted. I'm not much into strict patterns and matching fabrics...I prefer to let the quilt develop organically.
Once there was a little grey mouse named Rupert...this little guy has been whispering stories to me while I was bringing him to life. Stay tuned.
Baby oak trees just waiting to grow.
Found a few amanitas hiding in the woods during my walk today!
Cutting up squares for a new scrap quilt.
