I have maybe written 2.5k of phanfic for the first time tonight ,, I am maybe getting back into trying to write things. maybe. should I post a snippet 🫣

there is one thing I am particularly salty about concerning the gotg3 movie though

adam keeps having his plots stolen from him.

I'm not even joking. tbh the characterization was too little to see what they're doing with him, but it was very "just-released-from-his-cocoon" adam. but his plots? they keep giving them to other characters!

he was a pivotal and prominent character in the comic infinity gauntlet saga. not anymore.

he is directly linked with the soul gem and was the first one to appear with it in the comics. infinity stones did not exist in comic lore before adam.

his first real adventure was set on counter-earth and dealing with the high evolutionary. he stops the high evolutionary from destroying counter-earth! but he's barely a footnote in the movie and now it's going to be associated with rocket. high-evolutionary was basically adam's father figure, rather than him having a mother figure.

tbh, I don't mind the rocket bit so much, I just wish they had let adam have his own relevance to the story. give him man-beast! let him help the guardians more! something!

On the same day I squeeze out only about a paragraph in my current reylo multi chapter, my brain decides to slap me with yet another AU idea and make me think about that. Perfect.

Oh and in case anyone is curious, the idea was for a loosely based Anastasia AU set within the Star Wars canon-verse. 😏
