Why are some Starbucks customers jus complete ASSHOLES. I am training my new barista and ever other person is giving him shit. Please people, this is his third day on the job, first day dealing with fucks like you. Leave him be. Let him learn. You come try to deal with others like yourself day in and day out. Ugh...
One of the baristas I trained made this Rosetta and I'm so very proud. ☕️
Sitting in the lobby at starbucks with the guy I'm training watching dumb training videos and all I can think is, I'd rather be listening to Hamilton.
So. My store's losing people like crazy and has had almost a complete turnover in the last year and despite December 3rd only being my one-year anniversary at Starbucks, the only people still there who have been there longer than me are my manager, two coworkers, and two shifts. Both of our trainers just left, so my manager has been having to train people herself. I'm thinking about talking to her about becoming a trainer. It's something I've considered anyway, and I've dabbled in it a little just by being evening crew and helping new people make practice drinks and teaching them the cleaning tasks when we don't have customers. Besides. Quite frankly, if my problem coworker wants to think I'm bossy and outspoken, I should at least put that leadership to good use and make some extra money doing it. I'm done taking his abuse personally and wondering if I should tone down my outspoken personality. Fuck him. From the ashes I shall rise as the phoenix.
So I had my 6 month review at work today...
I got a nice little raise and will become a barista trainer soon...
My boss wants to wait a few weeks to do this but nonetheless I'm so excited.
Starbucks is definitely a wonderful job and I am looking forward to all my opportunities of growth that are coming...
