Bird therians, what are some of the urges you have relating to bird instincts? For me it's mostly the urge to fly, to nest, to stay up all night, to preen my wings and feathers, and making some bird-like noises, mostly, but I'm curious as to what other instincts you have (that you're willing to share, ofc!)
my form transformed into a barn owl again yesterday. I've been turned for more than 24h now, and it's been. weird. this form comes and goes and is very much involuntary. I'm still not used to it fully, because I'm not a bird. I'm a watcher
It's been a good while since I've done a moodboard, so here it goes! A watcher moodboard, centered around The Archives, and my owl form. Most of the images are from Pinterest, as always, and I edited it using canva. Not my best work, I'll admit, but I like it.
I don't have barn owl phantom shifts often because it's less behaviors and more like, I'm physically an owl, but when I do it's so weird because I feel wings on my back and my arms. which makes sense because I have two pairs of wings but it's weird.
the most prominent way I can shapeshift from my watcher-bipedal form to my watcher-owl form is through projecting my own body to look like an owl. for example, for now I'm able to change my talons, my tail, my feathers and I'm able to free my wings from my back. with the wings on my arms is a bit more difficult because the phantom sensations are not as strong there. shapeshifting is hard, and most humans can't see my shifted form anyways, so I don't do it as often
