So someone’s fee-fees were hurt because Gaza was acknowledged, and Barnard took the racist Islamophobe’s side.
Yikes.
The context is the administration wants the professors to indicate if they were ever made uncomfortable by any anti-Israeli, or pro Palestinian protest, presumably, using the staff at Barnard to ferret out anyone the Trump administration deems a subversive. 
History professor Nara Milanich wasn’t having it and said the quote above, as well as adding the information below 
Debbie Becher added that she felt it was ridiculous that an administration full of bigot cared about Jewish people at all.
She concluded by saying the following:

They are using violence and intimidation to weasel their way out of the consequences of their own actions.

You can't record yourself ripping up communications from Administration, and then complain about a "lack of good faith communications" from Administration.
Also, if you listen to what they're saying in the background of the video, they've made a catchy little song about there being "400,000 dead." Entirely apart from the number being pulled out of thin air, who told these kids that weird upbeat chants were an appropriate way to mourn the dead????
If I showed up to a vigil for the victims of October 7th, and people started chanting like this- I would be out of there so fast. I would be immediately contacting the event organizers to express my disgust at the lack of respect.
