Teenage girls groping and tearing apart a 31 years old man clothes is the opposite of sex sells. Louis has that I feel like a God when teenagers grope me look on his face that has some louies say that it sends the wrong red flags. A man in his 30's loving being touched by teenagers is never good promo. Not in this world. Not with statutory rape and sexual harassment laws being the focus after Metoo.

I have a bit more nuanced view on it. I don't think he goes to barricade with the intention of being groped. I also don't think he gets sexual satisfaction from it. He's not reaching out and trying to touch the fans. He's leaning over the barricade, into the hands of the fans. He looks happy yeah, but i again, i think he's a tactile person and it's his way to show love and give love to his fans. It's his way of connecting to us.

To me he looks a bit embarrased when his shirt was torn off him, and quickly tries to cover himself up by putting on a new one. He's somewhat self-concious about his body, especially on stage (don't know why, his body is great). We haven't yet had an incident where either he or a fan have felt harrassment. Fans are pretty good policing each other on what's okay and what's not okay barricade behaviour. When both parties are happy with it i don't see an issue.

The optics of it in terms of his image is another one of his current image incongruities. I agree this all might seem weird to others who only knows his current image.

i find that sad songs help me deal with grief and i hope this will give you some sort of comfort as well (esp. with that little smile at the end 🥺)!
