i was stalking ur insta story and didnt really know how to ask this so tumblr it is; how was Känguru-Chroniken? I really enjoyed the book but I'm unsure if it works on film (asking about german stuff in english? more likely than u think)

i personally liked it! it definitely wasnt perfect and i dont think i would recommend it to someone who doesnt have experience with the books. to me it was a fanservice movie really, i dont think it can completely stand on its own to some degree. like the books are collections of short stories with a slight connecting overarching “plot” and they had to make up some kind of overarching story for a movie so the mixture of one time anecdotes and the plot was kinda weird. the kangaroo itself looked good tho, kudos to the vfx team
