For the watsons family, do You guys celebrate or have a tradition? It could something related from the roots of both parents ( where they are from ) or a new one !

"Oh yeah, uhh.. we actually do a bit of everything, like Christmas, Easter, Halloween, and birthdays too, obviously. My sister Jen, she kind of stepped up as a mother figure when things got rough growing up! Usually comes by for Festa Junina or New Year’s. She brings Hanae Lin and the kids, Cassidy and Andrew, and the house gets loud. Cassidy’s always dragging the kids into dances, and Andrew? He just eats everything." (Bottomless pit, that one.)

"Oh! On a relevant note, we were visiting Maggie’s extended family in Norway for the 17th of May, their Independence Day. Maggie really wants the kids to see where she grew up! She’s already teaching them songs, so they embrace her language more. Honestly, I think it's very cute, heh!"

I'm curious, what would little Bart look like without the eye patch?

That's a heavy question, but one I've been excited to cover! Without the eyepatch, little Bart would have a clearly damaged right eye. (Left to us, I'll include his reference sheet, but no depictions of how the injury looks beneath yet!)

The injury didn’t destroy the whole eye, but it left it discoloured, clouded, and sensitive to light. There's a small scar just above his brow, and the skin around the eye is a bit sunken, suggesting nerve damage. He can’t see out of it anymore, and the eyepatch becomes permanent after the accident, something that both comforts and protects him. The injury itself happened in 1982, during one of Scott and Maggie arguments unrelated to her drinking habits or the disappearances that would start 2 years later.

It wasn’t physical, just them getting heated about their work schedules. Bart, being a curious little guy, tried to get their attention and eventually tried to break the fight by distracting them. In the heat of the moment, something fell. It could've been a heavy picture frame, a cracked shelf, or even a glass ornament that shattered. Bart is unable to remember it clearly since he was so young at the time, but it was too close, too fast, and it would hit his face, and a shard got in his eye.

Scott and Maggie were horrified and stopped the argument cold. Neither of them meant for it to happen. But that guilt? It’s never left them. Bart, being the strong little soul he is, never really blamed them, and Scott said, while comforting Bart that it made him look like Foxy. The injury became a permanent reminder that they needed to be more careful and watchful or their children
