haha I had to hunt down the interview for that photoset. I couldn't stop myself.
Cardassians: the episode where Bashir wakes up to find Garak in his room
and is apparently completely unfazed by this.
Also the episode where Bashir reveals his not-so-secret desire to be both a spy and a lawyer. I strongly suspect he has a file full of old Earth TV dramas, and practices saying "ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I beseech you, I appeal to you as human beings..." and stuff like that when he thinks no one can hear him.
"FOR THE RECORD, the commander of the station eight years ago was...(dramatic pause) Gul Dukat"
Yes Bashir, thank you, everyone knows. Also, what record? What are you talking about? Are there no sick people on this ship? Sisko is going to establish a mandatory no-hand-washing rule across the station, just to keep Bashir so busy that he can't pop up randomly and start talking about how Garak has told him to do this and that but hasn't told him why.
new followers, I already love you.
Yaaay!
Other notes:
The semi-fic that has been happening with airandangels and crowdog66 has been giving me such joy. Plus, people are reblogging it! And reading it!
Further confirming my initial hunch that the ds9 fandom is the best ever ever ever.
But there seems to be a large number of Hannahs who like ds9. I feel so not-unique! But also like I might just be destined to be obsessed with this show. Which would be pretty cool.
and handily do away with any guilt about watching/thinking about/tumbling when I should be doing finals stuff, because come on! It's destiny!
Apologies again to people who are not prepared for this onslaught (notably brit, misho, and brian). But not really, because it is SO GOOD.
also misho you will be trapped with me for a month so I'm thinking there's a good chance I can get you obsessed with this show too. you have been warned.
Fate lines are converging, like memories to a dying man. I need to write this, Doctor, and you're the only person on this station who will understand. The invasion of Cardassia is momentous. Many will die. If I don't survive, I want you to deliver copies of this to some people I will name at the end. There's another reason. I know that we have grown apart and that's as it should be. We learn what we can from certain people, then we move on after we've taken what we need. When we learn nothing new about ourselves in a relationship that's when the relationship is over. Or it's over the moment when we're afraid to learn something new about ourselves. But what I have been learning about myself...whatever it was inside me that was sparked and challenged when I first met you...is deeply connected to this story. I'm an unfinished man, Doctor, like a suit of clothes hanging on a display rack waiting for the final touches that may never come; I need to tell this story to make a peace with those parts of me that were left unfinished. A healing. Indulge me, if you will; I need you as a witness.
