JULIO BASHMORE
Julio Bashmore is born in Bristol.
And only this should suffice, as a guarantee of success.
Bristol is the English city that gave the land of Albion some of the greatest European artists of the past years: Tricky, Banksy, Allflaws, to name a few.
If you were born in Bristol, home to 400,000 souls, you have good chances of becoming an artist. And in Bristol, the land of rave, Julio Bashmore has his origins, the new discovery of English house music.
Ok, maybe rave and house music do not go together at first glance, but it is the fact of experiencing a background of such a large and heterogeneous size, which allowed the English artist to develop his own style, not forced to adhere to static frames of reference.
In 2009, Claude VonStroke changes his life. Like any other English teenager just out of college, Julio Bashmore was planning his own life, which would definitely have a chapter devoted to university.
But VonStroke’s promise to release an EP on his own label, Dirtybird, has definitely convinced Bashmore to modify his route.
Between 2011 and 2012, he has continued to release music on labels like Soul Motive, 3024,
Future Boogie, and PMR Records, including the club hit "Battle for Middle You."
In 2012, he founded his own label – Broadwalk - where he published the song "Au Seve", that is to experience immediate success in the circuit of clubs and festivals around the world. The single "Peppermint" with British singer Jessie Ware, was released in 2014, and entered the ranking, with 57th place.
Julio Bashmore is one of the real talents, one that fires up to burn behind the console.
If a new wave of house is emerging in the seas of England, Bashmore would definitely be the founder.
And he is only 24.
