Bear was surveying his kingdom today. I've been trying to shake off tiredness for the past couple of days. I haven't slept well for about 8 months or so now, but some days I just feel really sluggish and useless. I redrafted some scripts today so I at least did something productive I guess. Some days I just feel like I'm doing nothing with my life, which I know is silly, but it's just my way of thinking sometimes as a person that is very much a do-er.

I'm super happy with the focus on this photo because the wire between Bear and I is hardly visible so giving myself a little pat on the back for that one. It's the small things, right?

This is taken in the carpark of my work. Through the iron fence you can see the loading bay/door of the building next to ours. I have no idea what this building and its bay is a part of, but I like the mystery surrounding it, as trivial as it might sound. There's something that just seems perversely wrong with the door to me, and I've no idea why.

For reference I'm drawn to a scene in Westworld where Maeve discovers all of her past sketches of tech team, or as they call them "The Shades". I know there's no actual person in the photo, but the door makes me feel like I'm surveying something I shouldn't be looking at. Do you ever have these types of feelings, in certain locations?

I was meant to post this yesterday but I got caught up at work so oh well. I was also in a rush when I took this photo, but I should have really cleared the frame a bit more and put a harder focus on the 15 in the BG. My zoom lens probably would have helped here. But oh well! Learning stuff like this is whole point of this exercise, right?

So I didn't really do anything that interesting yesterday so I didn't bother posting it. This photo is bland, and is basically the ruins of a wall after I've taken off the small mirrors that were covering the wall held on with adhesive.

Packing up my room is very very strange. Once my sister moved out about 5 years ago I moved into her old room, but that was relocating my stuff from one end of the house to the other, this time it's for real. I've already gotten rid of a lot of stuff, but I've unearthed some great things.

There's some great metaphor in here about the damage we cause and the scars we leave each other to be taken from this photo, but I'm damned if I can hobble the metaphor together at this point. This entire period of my life I'd describe as melancholic nostalgia.

Technically this photo isn't even very good, but it's the only shot I have from yesterday. Also the light in my wardrobe is absolutely rubbish, so I'll try and lay a little bit of blame on that.

Front steps counts as outside, right? We have a colony of water dragons that live on the property. There's about 10 or so of them I think. They've been around for about 6 or 7 years now and every year there's more. There's a bit of a turf war going on at the moment between Big Boy™️ (the original) and Alan (pictured). Two other younger boys are around but neither is really a match for the first two. You can tell the boys from the girls by looking at the plumage on the chest - the boys have this bright red on them to attract the girls.

I wrote 3 episodes of a web series today so I actually felt like I accomplished something. I also made biscuits and a korma curry. But today was kind of tough. But that's okay.

Alan kept moving so this photo was bloody difficult to take. It's nothing special, I'll try out my zoom lens on them soon to see if I can get some finer detail without getting closer lol. There's something quite prehistoric about these lizards, especially in the shape of their head and their claws. Look at those talons.
