Don't Do This.

This is incredibly rude and unprofessional. They came into my inbox asking about if I do hexes, I explained I wasn't typically comfortable doing them for hire but listened anyway. I mentioned multiple times that I don't work for free. I didn't even specifically request money, just that I wasn't going to shill out my time/materials/energy/expertise for a stranger for nothing in return.

They ghosted me. Five days later I messaged and they blocked me.

Tumblr witches are not your work dogs. We are human beings who spend years developing a craft deeply tied to our spirituality, and you are ordering a commission. Whether it's a full-blown spell or a simple tarot reading, we deserve to be treated with the same courtesy you would give any digital artist, commission writer, or other creator on the platform.

If any other makers want the uncensored screenshots so they can avoid dealings with this person, feel free to message me.

Just got finished watching L*ZZO’s Tiny Desk concert and... Um. She’s a decent flutist.  Beautiful gowns. Beautiful spirit but.... ...The girl can’t sing.  *whew!*   I know she took lessons and she busted her ass to get where she is, and hey, J.Lo is waaaaay worse and she got where she is.  So, I’m still happy for her. But being old school, my memory kept flashing back to voices like Vesta, Phyllis Hyman, Stephanie Mills....   Where are those kinda’ voices, these days?!  Pure, crystal clear, effortless runs that don’t go flat or sharp and have a rich tone and a distinctive flavor where you know exactly who’s singing right away. I think Fantasia has it, Amber Riley has it  (I still randomly think about Amber’s perfect LIVE performance of “He’s the Wiz”), but they aren’t cutting smooth R&B hits that get bookoo black radio airplay like the ladies back in the day, nor are they centralized in the genre. I feel like  popular R&B artists that *are* getting the play are more style and image than substance.  Accessorized (guitar and flute) and branded well, i.e. H.E-R. , whose vocals are adequate but not distinctive IMO, and L*ZZO... When you strip down their voices are average, as in L*ZZO and H.E-R., or are very soulless and mechanized sounding, like ponytail girl who slathers herself in tanner. The people on social media spaces help me keep up, but I don’t seek out new artists, so if you have any suggestions?? Let me know.  I miss the effortlessly amazing soul vocalists of childhood.

Hey so I don't know if it matters to you but someone keeps saving your pic compilations from twitter and the games and posting them in a private Facebook group

heya! it’s okay. i don’t own them. but i hope they placed a proper source like the twitter link and maybe that they saved it from this place since i did make it easier for them to find it all haha. plus i always stick 2 images together since there are 11 and tumblr has a 10 photo limit– so it’s pretty obvious if it came from my blog. (⌒_⌒;)

thank you for telling me tho! the only thing i really care about is fanart reposting. please do tell me if any fanart i’ve posted gets reposted in any group. i’d rather people just linked the art rather than repost it since they don’t have permission from the artist.

okay that’s...a different matter. i wasn’t contacted beforehand (idk it was late i thought you were them asking for permission for them or something before they did anything). so no, that’s not okay /sigh

that/those anons are i think refering to the fina Boss of reaper, i can see that Happening but not really worth it for the current Moment (Im now them btw). Also is that 'feel free to send anon hate' because of them? Kind o overreacting dont you think? They were asking as a commision.

yeah I guess? I’m not interested in that game though and I’m Extremely uninterested in anyone looking to get free art out of me (especially since I have seen this same anon make their rounds among the rest of the artists in this fandom to some degree of success). also I’ve had that line for almost two years now, theyre not special enough to warrant changing anything up, it’s just annoying.

and if they were asking for a commission they would dm me to ask for a quote or like,,, say they’re going to pay me money to draw it (which they did, not do, obviously)

I wish people would get it in their heads that disobeying publicly agreed-upon rules doesn’t just inconvenience other people, but themselves as well.

For example: I don’t like to touch a stranger’s laundry any more than I like a stranger touching mine, but if your damn laundry is still in the drier by the time it’s my turn to use the damn thing, I will have to move that damn laundry because I’ve got no place else to put my damp laundry.
