Wound care is among the most crucial parts of patient care. A simple mistake could potentially lead to an infection. Prevent this from happening by ensuring that your hands are well-sanitized before cleaning the wound.
on b99 and dress code
b99 //// b99 is a cool and smort show no doubt. bibihira na lang ung mga gantong shows na napaka-diverse ng cast tapos ang ganda pa ng writing. kaso mo nga, it revolves around cops and police work AND alam naman nating lahat na in rea life, the police are complete assholes whose work is targeted to oppress people and serve the ruling class. YES, b99 is a propaganda show. bakit? cos it targets the upper middle to upper classes. it is centered on promoting diversity, empowering women, etc. BUT it also implies that bad cops can still be good cops whenever we watch the arc of correcting jake’s “bad” attitude as a cop. HOWEVER, hindi naman ito yung problema ihhh. THE PROBLEM IS us, the consumers of this craft, pretending na hindi ito isang propaganda show, when clearly IT IS. Depende na yan sa tao kaya naman sa huli, b99 is not the problem. YUNG KAPULISAN MISMO IN REAL LIFE is. Tsaka b99 will only be a bad propaganda if and only if we allow the show to change our perspectives toward the police. And since tingin ko pa rin naman sa kapulisan ay mga hayop, i think it’s safe for me to still enjoy the rest of b99. :)
dress code //// simple lang yan. ucsp subject. we tackled material and non-material culture. basically, ANG LAKI KASI TALAGA NG SAKOP ng dress code. lab. work. school. ethnic-wise. profession. etc. and tbh, ung analogy ng nakararami is sobrang backward na to the point na may gumawa pa ng fictional eme eme nya abt dun sa pagtatanggal daw ng tsinelas ek ek. ang effort pero tangina hu u??? ETO HA, OK. May rule ang ust na ganyan. Relative to other regulations, SOBRANG SIMPLE nga naman talaga kasi ng batas na iyon. BUT THE POINT HERE, ladies ang gentleman IS, tama ba yung code???? I mean, okay iba’t iba tayo ng pananaw sa tama contextually kasi pontifical institution ust IH tapos ibang schools naman hindi pero it begs the question of why is there a dress code IN SCHOOLS in the first place??? Ok there’s a norm to follow pero this falls on the MATERIAL CULTURE e. Kaya tbh ok nung una mejj against din ako kay ate BUT HEP HEP HEP i read on our ucsp book (yes naman natitira pa sya kahit gutay2x na) AND there is still the NON-MATERIAL CULTURE wherein sexism and certain belief systems fall onto. Kaya mahirap talagang unawain itong dress code e kasi most of what we see is the material culture but we forget na there’s still the non-material. Yang material na yan, madaling intindihin ihh. For example, bumbero ka, SYEMPRE TALAGANG WEAR PROPER UNIFORM ANO. gets ko yan. Pero the belief system in certain schools yung mahirap pakiwarian at pakisamahan. Like bakit pag varsity, kebs ang shorts pag summer pero pag mga normal students, hindi na? SILA LANG BA NAIINITAN? Kaya naman we can never really separate this dress code issue from sexism and by extension, sexual abuse KASI dress code in certain insti is based on the non-material culture of DECENCY. E sino ba tayo to gauge which is decent and which is not?????? Diba???? TSaka common sense naman. Asking for dress code to be lifted doesnt mean na yung mga tao magbi-bikini na all throughout. It doesnt mean na yung mga doktor, casual-an na rin ang peg pagpunta sa ospital. Bottomline???? DRESS CODES have their PRACTICAL USES (e.g., lab attire, firefighter’s uniform, hazmat suit, etc.). But if these dress codes subjectively dictate someone’s decency and infringe on the right of everyone to express themselves (re: cross-dressing), then this is a big NO.
