LOL no you can ask! honestly not That Much but i had to take a matlab class for my degree. mostly i would just use it for like data and graphs and stuff but they also for some reason taught us how to like edit photos with it. i always tell the story of this one homework where there was a photo of chicken little against a green screen and then we had to take him out and put him on this other photo and i wrote all the code and ran it and all i ended up doing was turning chicken little green. i was like Oh Okay. it was so stupid

It took me over a week to realize that who the English bible calls Job is called Hiob in the German one. And I only noticed because the Good Omens episode title is "Die Hiobsbotschaft" (The Job's Message) which is also a common term for a very bad, unexpected message in German. I might be a bit stupid because it took me so long to connect the dots. 😅

Violence against Asian Americans is on the rise. What's being done to stop it?

Across the country, experts say there has been a massive increase in attacks on the AAPI community in the past year. The Queens Chronicle reported in September, for instance, that in New York City alone, there was a 1,900% increase in anti-Asian hate crimes in 2020, according to NYPD data.

Manjusha P. Kulkarni pointed to Stop AAPI Hate's policy platform as a "broad outline, broad strokes about what we recommend," some of which includes federal legislation, like the Jabara-Heyer NO HATE Act, which "seeks to promote better hate crimes data collection as well as a more informed approach to hate crime prevention at the federal, state, and local levels," according to the Human Rights Campaign.
