Prom was a complete whirlwind of events; a ditched date, a snotty couple and an awesome older brother who swooped in and saved the best dance for her.Dimitri and Aileen had just bought the latest copy of Chucky, the crazed, red haired doll, and a few snacks.“I’ve never watched it…” Aileen murmured as she walked into the door of her mothers house,“Yeah, me either…It better be good, I paid five fucking dollars for that.” Dimitri let out a stubborn sigh before snatching the movie and walking to the DVD player.“It..I-It kinda looks like mom..” Aileen smirked as she pointed to the maniac doll on the cover. Dimitri couldn’t help but to crack a smirk of his own,“Aileen!” Aleks, her younger brother, screeched excitedly as he ran forward and enveloped the red haired girl into a tight hug,“Can I watch too?” Aleks grinned, and Aileen nearly fell for it before Dimitri cleared his throat,“PG-13, dumbass. Meaning, you can’t watch.” He clearly stated as Aleks pouted,“Aileen!” Aleks whined as Aileen pursed her lips,“Aleks..Lets let the big kids watch it, okay?” Fiona, the siblings mother smiled at the kitchen door before Aileen smirked,“Holy shit..” Dimitri breathed as he stared at his Mom, who was sporting wild red hair and a tired look,“What? Is there something on my face?” Fiona asked.“No…It’s just..can’t you get that copyrighted? I mean…they completely stole your look.” Dimitri smirked as he held the DVD cover beside of Fiona’s face, comparing his mother to the Chucky doll.

Usually people would look at them and see damaged…broken, needy, scared, frightened…attention seeking boys and so on so forth..Aileen views her brothers as reminders for how grateful she needs to be; she sees their scars, their stories..and knows for a fact that they are her saving graces. They are her will to live and their biggest motivators. They are her familyAileen views her brothers as second chances. When she looks at them she sees their battles they have faced headstrong and conquered, and even the battles they’ve lost to greatly. She sees them as soldiers of war; heroes, conquerers and believers that have a say in whatever they do to create who they are.She sees them as her heroes.
