I got a call from my surgeon Wednesday. After testing the 29 lymph nodes they removed during my colon resection, they found cancer in exactly none of them. She also said the cancer wasn't very deep. That's good news and hopefully bodes well in terms of lowering the odds of recurrence.
My family doctor said I can look at going back to work in the new year, but not sooner because I had some blood loss during surgery that I still have to recover from. Christmas without work? Yes please!
And I get to watch game one of the World Series tonight as my Blue Jays take on the Dodgers.
Life doesn't really get much better.
