You Rock! Beyond celebration ;) I look forward to the day when “women”, in the collective, would feel powered and empowered to the extent of not feeling the need or desire for an International Women’s Day. Discrimination based on gender, among many other forms, in my eyes, is very primitive. Yet, celebration as a form of +ve discrimination is understandable as a transition from an extreme to the other; from oppression to liberation, for example; until wounds are healed, and balance is achieved, for the individual and for the collective. And since, we still have a long way to go when it comes to that, and since there were/are a lot of past/present “wrongdoings” to be considered, allow me to say: Happy International Women’s Day and apologize on behalf of (a) gender(s) who knowingly or unknowingly inflicted/inflicts any pain, discomfort, or frustration, on a gender basis. In Silence of a Maybe One Day I’m not sharing this post for LGBT support or the opposite, for it seems to me that the mere mention in text for the acronym raises red flags that I’m unwilling to handle, and like I stated before, I’m done being on the frontlines of support or condemnation to any causes due to unpredictable outcomes within this region. I am simply contemplating light years in differential range between processes and lack thereof, to handling (relative and subjectively perceived) individual divergence within establishments, and how in certain areas of the world an individual can have the liberty to stand up for what they believe in, and even take actions explicitly in stark contrast to the head of the establishment, and still enjoy the privilege of wellbeing and decent existence. Not to mention process or lack thereof, for the establishment to handle the divergence of the head, with civilized means of interaction. I sigh. I smile. I ponder. In silence of a maybe one day.
