56. Alex and Kate become friends (Supergirl / Batwoman)
When Kate was announced as a new player in the „Arrowverse“ prior to „Elseworlds“ everyone was expecting this to eventually happen, escpecially after it was announced that „Batwoman“ would get picked up. Everyone wanted the Arrowverse Main Lesbian to meet Superhero Comics Main Lesbian. Not only because they are both lesbians, but also because the are kind of simelar. Both are strong willed and kick-ass, both are soldiers (actually former ones), and both were involved with Maggie Sawyer at some point (well of course Kate was not involved with Maggie in the Arrowverse, on the other hand she could have been on Earth Prime, couldn’t she?). Kate and Kara became friends during „Elseworlds“ and ended up being implied to be close friends on Earth Prime during „Batwoman“, so it would have made sense for Kate to meet and befriend Alex at some point. And they did meet during „Crisis on Infinite Earths“, and you saw those two hanging out with Kara in Part 5, but due to no more Kate in the Arrowverse, we will never see this storyline now. Given that Season 6 is the final season of „Supergirl“ it might not have happened anyway, but at least the chance was there. Now it’s gone, which is just one of the many many reasons Caroline Dries should have never been allowed to show-run „Batwoman“.
