Someone I know with a very good eye sent a link to this brand new selfcare brand Flewd and I was like: OH KAY! The offering is simple, with a core launch of just 3 products - a strategy I always respect. The package is oh-so-dope. The stuff itself is different, yet straightforward, and solves 3 problems we all have at one time or another - providing therapy for insomnia, a muscle ache remedy, and a quick cure for anxiety … all in a pouch that you dump in your bath.

The concept? TRANSDERMAL SOAKING. Translation: according to Flewd, using your body’s largest organ (your skin) to absorb essential vitamins and minerals to combat wellness concerns takes a matter of minutes (and those minutes are spent in a great-smelling bath, k?). Your open pores can absorb up to 5 days worth of the good stuff while you soak, versus the 8 hours it takes for your body to digest and distribute a day’s worth of nutrients taken orally.

Impressed with all this, I connected with the founder, and my weekend was made.

The soaks aren’t like normal bath powders or bombs. They’re pellet-like little colorful pieces - picture small, soft sea glass - and they’re basically like juicy salt. I’m not sure how else to explain their texture … which is solid, but quick-dissolving, and full of delicious smells and the good stuff your body needs to rebalance.

The Anxiety bath soak contains Magnesium, B VItamins, and elemental Zinc - all things most of us lack that are proven to combat your body’s response to stress (and help boost immunity).

The Insomnia bath soak contains Vitamins A + E, a sleep-essential duo, as well as Magnesium and L-Carnitine (which works to send the A+E to its proper destination for ZZZ’s).

The body Ache bath soak contains Vitamins C + D, plus Magnesium and Omega-3. These work together to help repair muscle as well as release built-up toxins that contribute to soreness.

They’re super satisfying and obviously make you feel amazing, as well as acting as a kind of reminder to actual stop, get in the bath, and chill (which a drink or vitamin just isn’t going to do). The trio is an amazing selfcare gift to shake up the routine of someone you love while we’re all in this quite stressful and not particularly healthy quarantine mode (and a great value).
