A small bat flies up, carrying a large microphone. With a camera following close behind. “Hello Valeria! And welcome to Bat News! After many requests it’s finally time to ask that question! How do you feel about @detective-drift? After the events at the masquerade it’s a fair assumption that you’re interested to say the least. But I just must ask!”

🌱The woman heard the bat before it even spoke up, she had been practicing shooting her crossbow. Her companion, an owl named Estelle was perched nearby; it rotated it head around to stare at the bat. Her eyes narrowed slightly as she fired her shot, hitting the bullseye dead on, when the other spoke up. The woman lived about as in the middle of nowhere one could live. So it must have taken the bat awhile to somehow track her down. Lowering her crossbow, she turned her head to look towards the bat. "...I can't imagine there were that many requests... Not to mention, I never gave out my name to anyone. So your lying to me right off the bat." The corner of her lip quirked slightly at her 'pun', but her expression remained cool and professional.
"...I don't really think it's anyone's business who I am or not interested in."
After all... she technically wasn't supposed to be alive, at least by all accounts. But regardless she was here, and... still kicking. Considering she had always been a private person, she wasn't exactly... thrilled that somebat knew where she lived. Moving to reload her crossbow with a new bolt, she focused on what she was doing.
"She is well aware of how I feel about her, and that's the only person who really needs to know." At least right now...
